Event Information

Proceeds from the annual Kidney Walk & Celebration event directly benefit individuals in the Wiregrass area through vital financial assistance, education, and support services. The Foundation’s Financial Assistance Program helps low-income dialysis patients manage essential living costs, including high utility bills, prescription medications, and transportation to and from life-saving dialysis treatments. In addition to direct support, the Alabama Kidney Foundation provides educational resources to empower kidney patients in managing their chronic illness and promotes kidney disease awareness throughout the community. 

We look forward to celebrating with you on April 11, 2026 at Dothan Area Botanical Gardens (5130 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL 36303) - registration begins at 9:00 am and the event ceremony will start at 9:45 am. There will be food; music; vendor tables; children's area; door prizes and prizes for top fundraising teams and individuals. Best t-shirt design will also receive a special prize!
